Vintage shot of John A. Gorham flying the Rebel outside the GMP headquarters in Calabasas, CA
The GMP Rebel was essentially a larger, and more stylized version of the company's famous Cricket helicopter. While the Cricket was designed to run a .25 or .28 sized nitro engine, the Rebel used a .40 or .45. This model was aimed at beginning pilots who wanted a larger machine, but did not want to invest in specialized helicopter engines or radios. The Rebel was specifically designed to accept common fixed-wing .40~.45 sized engines and generic 4-channel aircraft radios.

J.C. Zankl's restored GMP Rebel takes to the air in 2007.
