I would like to thank Brent for planning and hosting such a great event!

Everything was perfect!  Great job Captain!

I'll be updating nsxsc.com this week so if you have any pictures or web links

to post, let me know.  I would also like some stories for NSeXcitement, so

send me what you have!

It was great seeing everyone!  See you at Texas World Speedway!

Yeah Betsy and I both had a REALLY great time. Betsy had a

skeptical perspective to NSX events before this. She was

very glad she came with me. We both had fun.

Thanks Brent (and Shana) for the wonderful time.

And it was grrreat seeing everyone and their spouses

(and their cars). Finally put a face to everyones "bytes". :)

I'll post pics I took, on my web. and send a url to Bill.

take care

Afterwards, it was a late dinner party at Wazoos’

Saturday Morning – Gunn Acura Tech Session

Saturday morning saw the NSX’ers driving across the freeway to Gunn Acura,

and totally taking over the service department with NSX’es.

NSX’es are taking over the Place!!!

Augie

Augie, Gunn’s top NSX master tech, was on the lookout for anything that looked out of place.

Many thanks to Tracy “NSX Parts Guy” Towsend, for not only providing us with the parts we need, but installing them himself!

Saturday Afternoon – Malibu Grand Prix

We love to drive on the track, and get every opportunity, even if the cars are, well, less than we are used to.

Brent

Hey, do these things have a nitros button?

Can you read this lap timer?? The lap timer display was apparently knocked out by a lightning strike some time ago. Not only were the last two digits reversed, but half of the lights were burned out, causing massive confusion in trying to figure out who had the fastest times.

Lining up for the start

Doug is ready to hit the track!

Saturday Night – Dave & Buster’s

Dave & Buster’s rolled out the red carpet for us, with a private party room.

Sunday Morning – Hill Country Drive

Medina Lake will never be the same…..

All lined up at the restaurant for the for the goodbye lunch.

A bunch of fine tail in the parking lot!

The usual suspects….

Since Doug almost hit a deer on the country drive, he is awarded the inaugural “shaft award”. It’s an actual NSX 5-speed transmission mainshaft that’s awarded to the NSX’er who has the worst luck or a near miss (nothing serious we hope) during an NSX Southcentral event. Doug’s name will go on the award, then he will pass it on to the next winner at the next event (kinda like America’s cup)

The Boss and the Captain.

Howdy Guys and Gals!

I hope everyone made it safe 'n sound back into town!  It really started pouring rain at about 4:30 PM in San Antonio, so I'm glad most were well on their way home by that time!

Many, MANY thanks to all of our attendees!  Without your attendance and interest, teXpos like the one you just attended would simply never exist - we all know it would be a lonely world without teXpos! :>)

All of you really made the planning and execution phases of all events an easy task.  Without a doubt, this year's teXpo ran so smoothly because of your cooperation and interest!  I'm thankful that the weather held-out for us the whole weekend!  I truly hope all of you enjoyed your brief visit to San Antonio - I know I enjoyed your visit!  If you ever happen to be in San Antonio for business, etc., please look me up!

Anyhow, I have several thanks:

1. Thanks to Mark Johnson of Dali for all of those GREAT teXpo shirts!  They really added a nice touch to our event, and he really went out of his way to have these manufactured specifically for our event.  When he's not fondling clutch cores, he helps us out!  Thanks again Mark, and we'll see you next time.

2. A BIG thanks to Tracy Townsend of Gunn Acura.  He flawlessly and magnificently orchestrated the Gunn Acura event for us on Saturday morning with a great tech session and a SUPER BBQ buffet!  Also, many thanks to Barb for going out of her way to help us and maximize our enjoyment! Fortunately, he was able to convince the Gunn Generals to conform to his demands (or requests, right Tracy?).  Thanks for all you hard work Tracy.

3. Thanks go out to our out-of-staters for attending - Jerry from Louisiana, Jeff from Kansas, and also Miled from New York (fouhgitaboutit)!

4. Another big "Thank you" to Jerry Hill for gluing that video camera to his face and filming EVERY SINGLE event at teXpo!  I am anxious to see that Sunday Drive high-speed pass shot!  He also went out of his way to get EVERYTHING (hopefully not of me smoking cloves) on tape!  After he finishes-off the tape, I'll make the copies and send them off to you. Thanks Jerry!

5. Finally, I just have to thank everyone who had an interest in this event. Not only the attendees, but those who offered to help from afar.  Thanks for the honest survey answers and all of your kind words.  I'm not the one to thank - thank each other for being such GREAT people with such GREAT cars. Yeah, sure, I love "OXIDE", but I wouldn't trade-in you guys and gals for anything!  sniff, sniff.

I hope you all had a great time, and I will eventually post some survey results soon.  Take care and see you all soon!

Directions to Omni

Take I-35 South towards San Antonio

>From I-35 South, take the Loop 1604 Exit (Loop 1604 is also known as

Anderson Loop)

Exit to the right and take Loop 1604 West

Go about 15 or so miles west on Loop 1604 to the I-10 Exit

Take I-10 East (towards San Antonio)

Drive about 5 miles down I-10 East to the Wurzbach Road Exit (EXIT #561)

After Exiting, stay left and at the next bridge (Wurzbach Road), turn around

under the bridge and drive on the access road in the right lane

Stay on the access road for a short distance.  The Omni is a tall building

to the right that is right in front of you.

Look for the Wahooz restaurant sign.  Turn right on Colonade Road

immediately after Wahooz.  Go straight into the Omni!

***PARKING NOTE***:

When you arrive at the Omni, feel free to park/unpack your car at the front

door.  We will have our own "special" parking in the Valet section - no

Valets will drive your cars.  Our section will be in the same area as in

1998 - the parking area to the "right".  The Valets (or myself) will be able

to direct you to our parking area when you arrive.  Just look for the NSXes!

That's about it!  If you have any questions on how to get to the Omni,

please let me know!  Be sure to try to arrive in-time for the 9:00 PM

In-Briefing in Grand Ballroom "B"!  I suggest you plan to arrive at the Omni

no later than 8:00 PM so that you can clean up and relax!

REMINDER: The In-Brief will start promptly (depending on how margaritas I've

had) at 9:00 PM Friday night!  It will be in Grand Ballroom "B".  Be sure to

take a In-Briefing package folder once you arrive in the room!  I'll have

them out (blue folders) somewhere near the Ballroom B door.

REMINDER: Starting from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, some of the "early arrivers" will

be walking over to Texas Land and Cattle for dinner/drinks.  So, if you do

arrive at the Omni around this time, see NSXes but no NSXers, we're probably

there and will return shortly.  Come on over to TLAC or loiter around in the

"lounge" section beside the lobby.  If you're lucky, you may see me kick the

pianist from his stool and play some Beethoven myself on the lobby piano.

REMINDER: Be sure to find/park in our NSX parking spaces!  The valets will

be aware of this section, and you should see others parked there as well.
