“Washday” - September 11, 1999
It started as an innocent social gathering for Dallas NSX owners to hang out, chat, and wash their cars. It became famous in NSX circles as the first documented race between a Comptech Supercharged NSX and two stock cars.

The Black car has headers & exhaust, so he figures he will give us a run for our money! |
Subject: [NSX] Supercharged vs. Regular NSX To: NSX@LISTSERV.NSX.NET OK, so how much faster does that Comptech supercharger really make your car? Well, we found out today. This is a video shot today (Sat) from a '94 with headers, exhaust, and the 6.9 psi Comptech supercharger as it pulls away from a stock (except for paint job and wheels) '93 (Yellow), and a Black '94 with only headers and exhaust. An interesting real-world comparison. |

To: NSXCA-SOUTHCENTRAL@LISTSERV.NSX.NET Subject: Wash Day Drag Race Well, wash day was a lot of fun. The question on everyone's mind (or at least mine) was how much faster the supercharger is then a regular mere mortal NSX. After everyone got all washed and freshly waxed with the Zaino show wax, we took our machines out for a little test spin. Unfortunately, we got doused by a construction water truck (arrrrag! so hard to keep them clean!!!) |
