EDR's NSX INSTALL PARTY!
Sunday, June 3, 2001
Flower Mound, Texas

A view of 8 NSXs from the street. Three in the road, four in the driveway and one in the garage.

Eric Robbins, owner of a 1991 Black/Ivory model organized an "Install Party" on Sunday, June 3rd, 2001. A group of local "Dallas NSX" track junkies got together to perform all sorts of routine maintenance and other upgrades to their cars, many in preparation for some upcoming track events. Things kicked off at 9:30 in the morning and ran all the way until about 7:30 at night. Eric continued on his own finishing up a Dali Racing intake installation at about 8:30. At one point during the afternoon, there were 10 NSXs in attendance. Needless to say, this drew some interesting looks from the neighbors as they drove by. At the end of the day, there was even a local boy-racer who showed up in his Cavalier to take pictures. We got a good laugh as he tried to impress us with the roaring sound of his coffee-can exhaust as he left.

A closer view of the first 8 NSXs to show up for the install party. Two more would find their way to their siblings later in the afternoon. Notice Moazzam's Yellow 1992 coupe with the black cockpit next to Brent's Red 190,000 mile NOS monster. Moazzam's car started life dressed in red... it is believed to be the only yellow '92 in existence, and the only yellow from any year with a black top.

Vaughn Duarte (left) and Jim Stanton (right) get under the hood. Vaughn has yet to realize that you can't flush your brake fluid with a can of Pepsi... the ATE Super Blue is behind him!

Yet another view of the cars. Moazzam has come to Jim's rescue on the brake fluid vs. Pepsi question, but Vaughn is arguing the point.

Jon York installing Dali slotted and cross drilled rotors. By the end of the day, Jon and Brent were as red from sunburn as his shirt.

Brent Cobb (center) and Marc W. (right) listen on as Jim Kuzela (left) explains why he's not getting his hands dirty with his NSX up on jackstands like the rest of us.

Eric's NSX sits alone in the garage with the blender waiting to make more margaritas. The empty garage bay provided a good place to relax in the shade and shoot the breeze as everyone got to know each other a bit better.
